Game scraper
Basketball-Reference season-range import.
Seasons use the end-year convention: 2025 means the 2024-25 season. Pick a start and end year and the scraper fans out across every month page in that range.
Data import
Pull regular-season games from Basketball-Reference or official injury reports from the NBA's feed, preview the resulting CSVs inline, and download the saved files as soon as each scrape finishes. Everything you produce here feeds the leaderboard and the predictor downstream.
Scraping the active season only pulls games that have already tipped off and finished. Anything scheduled but not yet played is left out, so future results never leak into the model. The leaderboard picks up the live Elo state of that current season; if the season hasn't started yet, it falls back to the most recent completed season's ratings.

Injury reports come from the official NBA injury feed, pulled through the nbainjuries library. Historical coverage that lines up cleanly with the scraped game calendar starts in the 2021-22 season; earlier reports aren't reliable enough to feed the predictor, so the season-range importer floors out at 2022.
Powered by nbainjuries with latest, date-range, and season-range modes.
Latest grabs the most recent report on file. Date range walks day by day between two dates. Season range uses the scraped game calendar so injury dates line up with the games the predictor already knows about.
